If you do not have an outdoor space, and are considering the addition of one to increase revenue and improve your patron experience, please review the state and local laws and regulations to follow all applicable to your development plans.
Earlier this spring, Yankton community officials introduced the public to a proposal of a multi-faceted entertainment venue that would offer expanded gaming. The new casino would include 500 machines and 10 table games. In addition to the casino, the center could also include music space, river access, convention space, waterparks, restaurants, retail space, a downtown marina and an excursion boat. Though this would create jobs and increase revenue to the hosting community, it is crucial that we are all aware of the potential competition for tourism and revenue within our industries.
That being said, we continue to actively seek new members, that involves you- the existing members and license holders- to assist in recruitment, share industry information amongst peers, and rally together to be proactive. Input regarding strategies to continue to improve our committee and continue to forward thinking for the future of the SD Liquor and Gaming industries, is always welcome. Here's wishing everyone a safe and prosperous summer season.
