Johnson Brothers is a family-owned and operated wine, spirits, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages distributor with headquarters in St. Paul, Minnesota.    Johnson Brothers is proud of our Midwestern roots and has been providing world class service to our customers throughout the United States for over 60 years.


The following is a brief history of Johnson Brothers in South Dakota:


1980:  Johnson Brothers acquires Famous Brands in Sioux Falls from Schenley Distributing.
1981:  Johnson Brothers acquires Western Wholesale in Rapid City.
1984:  Johnson Brothers acquires Midland Distributing in Sioux Falls.
1987:  Johnson Brothers acquires Premier Wine & Spirits in Rapid City.
1989:  Johnson Brothers acquires Premier Wine & Spirits in Sioux Falls.


2004:  Johnson Brothers purchases a 65,000 square foot warehouse in the Sioux Falls industrial park area that doubles our office and warehouse space, implementing state-of-the-art automation for increased accuracy and efficiency in warehouse operations.
As a part of the Johnson Brothers distributor network, each wholesale house has all of the technological and business resources to professionally manage each brand, while maintaining the autonomy to set specific priorities and manage individual markets to ensure success in each local community.  We will continue to provide delivery service to the entire state.
